Chiangmai (P.A) Itinerary 2 nights at hotel 1 night in a coach Day 1 Depart Bangkok by air-conditioned bus at 8:30 am. Arrive Chiangmai in the evening and transfer to hotel. Day 2 After breakfast visit Wat Phrathad Doi Suthep, the sacred temple in Chiangmai containing a holy relic of the Lord Buddha. A panoramic view of the city can be seen from here at 3,400 feet above sea level and continue to Phu Ping Palace. Lunch at a restaurant. Visit Wat Chedi Luang (AD1411), where the Emerald Buddha was once enshrined, and destroyed by the earthquake. Wat Phra Singh (AD 1345). Where a 1,500 years old Buddha image Fine Carvings are to be found is also visited. Drive through many different parts of the northern capital. Passing residential area, handsome government buildings. Continue to Sankampaeng and Borsarng. See Teakwood carving. Silk weaving, Silver ware, Lacquer ware and Umbrella making. Day 3 Enjoy seeing how trained elephants are used to help in logging work and then take an Elephant ride (approx. 1 hr.) then enjoy ox cart ride, Lunch will be provided. After lunch, view the beauty of the countryside along the Mae Tang River by bamboo raft. The Orchid Farm will be also visited on the way back.
